TERENGGANU STATE ECONOMY PROMOTION CORPORATION (PMINT) was established on 1 April 1965 under Terengganu State Government Enactment (No. 3/1965). The main purpose of the establishment is to be the main state agency to implement and accelerate development and socioeconomic progress in the State of Terengganu.
With the launch of the New Economic Policy (NEP) in 1971, PMINT also supported the NEP's goal of eradicating poverty and restructuring society. Similarly, when the National Development Policy 1991 - 2000 (DPN) which started in 1991, PMINT was also actively involved in making the policy a success.
